SWEATY BAND Giveaway!

Standard

In honor of my Birthday week (yes it’s a capital Birthday because it’s important), I’m going to give you a gift!  yay!!!  I’m so excited to have a GREAT accessory to giveaway to YOU lovely people!

The lovely ladies over at Sweaty Bands sent me TWO bands to giveaway to one lucky reader.  actually, they gave me permission to keep one and give one away, but being the oh so generous person that I am – I want you to have both of them! (I didn’t even try them out during my workout this morning, promise)

Here’s a little 411 about the brains and talent behind Sweaty Bands…

From the Sweaty Band website and creator, Donna –

Hello! My name is Donna. I’m a married mother of three. I have been teaching group fitness classes and personal training for 20 years. It is my passion and my hobby. I started making Sweaty Bands as a way to supplement my income. I have an obsession with having the freshest tunes to keep my students motivated. My entire paycheck was going to new music! Selling a few Sweaty Bands out of my gymbag was a way for me to keep buying music and pay for continuing education. Sweaty Bands have provided me the opportunity to do what I love and make a little money on the side. I hope you LOVE them as much as I do!

Fitfully Yours,
Donna

I wore my brand new sweaty band for my marathon.  I love to wear headbands when I run.  As I mentioned in my race recap – they don’t slip at all!  I ran the whole marathon in it, drove home, chased kids, took and ice bath, blah blah blah – still in place.  fantastic.  and adorable.  and a necessity for any active little lady.  or for the little lady that doesn’t have the opportunity to shower immediately after every workout because three children are running around like banchi’s and she needs to cover the greasiness that is her hair.  it works for that too.

They have a TON of patterns and styles, so go check it out.  do it.

These are the ones I am giving away

*little disclaimer, Sweaty Bands did not pay me or bribe me with large amounts of chocolate or a lifetime supply of sweaty bands or lululemon gear to say nice and wonderful things about them.  these are my own opinions based on my own experience with my pretty little sweaty band.

My Rules to Play the Game –

1. To enter giveaway, leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite running accessory.  It can’t be your sneakers.  you obviously need sneakers to run.

2. Additional entry – follow (or subscribe, not sure what it actually says) my blog via email and leave a separate comment telling me that you did.  you can’t just unsubscribe after.  that’s not nice.  it will probably hurt my feelings.  I’m sensitive sometimes.

*edited to add – if you already follow my blog, leave a separate comment as well saying so- equal playing ground for you faithful followers.

3. Another additional entry – “like” Sweaty Bands on Facebook and leave another comment telling me that you did that as well.

That’s it.  I’m giving you 3 opportunities to get these babies.

Your opportunity to enter ends on my birthday, Thursday 4/19 at 9pm.  I will choose ONE winner (via random.org) (I have to make that clear because the last little giveaway I did my husband was concerned I was going to giveaway books to anyone that commented.  not so my friends.  one lucky winner.  but go buy yourself one if you don’t win.  easy peasy)

Make sense?  Exciting.  Have at it.  Happy Tuesday.  Happy Katie Birthday Week.  to you.

About msfitrunner

I am a 29 year old stay at home, hardworking mom to my three little loves! My oldest little darling is 5, little sis is 4 and baby brother is almost 2. I have been married to my Mr. Wonderful for almost 7 years (ahhh!). My faith and my family is my rock, and I have a newfound LOVE for running. Maybe it's more of a necessity at this point - to maintain household peace and my own sanity, but whatever it is, it's working for me and I'm loving the racing. The vegan world has been calling my name, so I am testing out those waters as well! That's a tough one with three little picky eaters at home, but I am having fun coming up with new recipes and trying out new things. Follow along as I chronicle this crazy running life, and ALL the craziness that goes with it!

  1. Happy birthday!! I love your blog!! I am amazed that you are able to train so hard with 3 kids… I aspire to do that when I have kids…it is hard enough with just a husband and a dog 🙂 Anywho, my favorite running accessory for fashion purposes is my lululemon headband but I only have a solid black one… not nearly as cute as these sweaty bands! 🙂

  2. I am now following your blog 🙂 I liked your marathon race recap! I felt almost the same way you did when I ran the LA Marathon a couple of weeks ago. There was too much going wrong before the race, that I just gave up mentally…at least I finished!

  3. Happy early birthday! I always race in a headband. I just purchased a new glitter one over the weekend. My favorite running accessory would be my new garmin watch. I just got it for my birthday 🙂 I already follow your blog but I will be sure to like Sweaty Bands on Facebook then come back and tell you about it. Have a great day!

  4. Happy birthday! My favorite running accessory is my probably my iPod…. I have not yet mastered running without music… and never really tried because I love jammin’ out to tunes while I run 🙂

  5. The only running accessory I really run with is my watch, but I guess I would consider that more of a necessity. Happy Birthday-week!

  6. Yay Happy birthday!!! 30 is awesome and the next few too (that’s as far as I’ve gotten :).
Love the sweaty band giveaway and my favorite running accessory is my smile. Groan just kidding – right now it’s my BOB running stroller. Without it not much running would be happening.

  7. My favorite running accessory is definitely my garmin. Gotta have that thing all the time!
    Thanks for a great giveaway!

  8. I love sweaty bands, I have a few solid colors that I love to wear. Like you I also have three little boys 4 and under so I love wearing these to hide the greasy after workout no tIme to shower hair:)

My favorite running accessory is probably my garmin.

Happy birthday week. The 30’s are awesome!!

  9. I am already a follower!:). And my favorite accessory…oh where do I begin??:). My iPhone because it has both my music and my Nike running app that tells me my distance, pace, and generally how awesome I am at differs points through the run- no joke, they have recordings of pro athletes saying things like ‘great job!’ or ‘almost at your goal time!’. Anyway, that means another favorite is my shirt that has a pocket to put my iPhone in, and also my lulu lemon sweat band- that thing doesn’t budge an inch either! It is pale blue tho, not as fun. And about to like sweaty bands on FB, keep up the good work! And happy bday ya old fart 🙂

  10. Happy birthday! I’ve been following for a little while and have been meaning to comment….Feel kind of dumb that a giveaway finally pushed me. I promise I’ll let you know I’m reading from now on. 🙂 Favorite accessory: I guess that would be my Garmin 305 (although I’ve also been using a Soleus watch on days when I’m a bit more relaxed).

I’ve never used Sweaty Bands, and I’ve never found a headband yet that worked for me, so I’d love to win. Thanks for the giveaway.. And happy birthday week. The best is yet to come! 🙂

  11. My favorite running accessory is my arm pocket. It holds my phone for my music, running apps and cash for that end of run coffee.

  12. Can’t go without my iPod it’s a must for me
I’d love this my daughter would gladly share them with me at her soccer games

  13. Happy Birthday! My favorite running accessory is probably my GPS watch. It is so easy to use during the run and uploads quickly and simply afterwards 😉

  14. My favorite running accessory is probably my watch at the moment. Nothing special, just has a stopwatch so I can keep track of overall time. Garmin for Mom’s day!

  15. Hello!! I’m new to your blog – found it through Skinny Runner – and am really enjoying it so far! My favorite running accessory is definitely my Garmin, but I’d love to try out some sweaty bands.

  16. It’s my birthday week, too!

My favorite running accessory is chapstick; in my last marathon I ran with one in my hand 🙂

  17. I would love to call a Sweaty Band my favorite accessory 🙂 But currently my favorite accessory is my Garmin 205. It’s been my trusty running buddy since I started running outside and off the dreadmill!

  18. You are so inspirational and I hope that when I have a family of my own I can be a bad ass runner like you! My favorite running accessory is definitely my hot pink nike wind breaker jacket. It’s perfect for those windy days in Chicago along the Lakefront! I already like sweaty bands on fb and they are awesome!

  19. 1.) garmin 405 in green :-)… Any bright color top—just brightens the occasion!

2.) already follow you. Love getting your posts just emailed to me!! No need to search around! P.s. you turned me onto lululemon 🙂

3.) like Sweaty Bands on Facebook

  20. I cannot run without my ipod! I have tried, but i dont feel as pumped up and i love getting that feeling when a great song comes on and makes you feel unstoppable!

  21. Happy birthday! Mine was April 10th. Anyway, I love my Camelbak. It makes me feel like such an adventurer to set out on a 20 mile run with my food and water on my back.

  22. Happy Birthday. My favorite running accessory is my watch. I wear a headband but it is horrible and falls off. I would love to try the Sweaty Bands!

  23. Hello! I check into your blog so often thank you for keeping me entertained. I would say my favourite running accessory is my dog. He’s a husky so he often pulls me like a sled up the toughest hills… although on the hotter days I feel as though he’s the sled and I’m the dog. 🙂

  24. I signed up to be a follower but haven’t received my email from wordpress yet. Anyway, I check in often to see what’s happening in your world.

  25. I love your blog. You’re such a cute lady and totally a runner/mom inspiration.
My fave accessory is my road ID. I’m always a little afraid of getting hit by a car and not being able to tell the paramedics about my medication allergies! Plus, I snuck a line of motivational words on there. 🙂

  26. Happy Birthday! My favorite accessory is my IPOD. I don’t know if I could run without it. I have pick me up songs and my favorite – Ride the Train. It helps to hear – I think i can, I think I can!

  27. Hi – I follow your blog regularly. Always enjoy hearing about your workouts and races. BTW – I think you did an AMAZING job on your last marathon! My favorite running accessory is my garmin 305… no, wait it’s my ipod nano….. no, ..it’s my garmin 305! Ahhh! I can’t pick between my 2 loves! =D

  28. My favorite running accessory are my Nike sunglasses that my hubby got me for my birthday a few years ago (I too just turned 30…it’s not so bad.) 🙂

  29. I follow you. I told you this in the last comment, but you’re blog is awesome and you’re amazing. I don’t know how you are so stinkin fast with 3 kids. I only have one and I’m finding it hard to fit it all in.

  30. Happy Birthday!!!! My favorite running accessory is my new Garmin my hubby just bought me! I am running my first marathon next Sunday! ahhhhhhhhh

  31. My favorite running accessory would definitely be my headbands. I used to wear baseball caps all the time during my runs but sometimes they give me headaches. I guess I have a watermelon head. I love how a cute headband can complement your work out clothes. Gotta look good while you’re sweating it out, right?

  32. Happy Birthday! Welcome to the next age group 🙂 Fave running accessory: my new Lulu shorts (maybe the speed short??). I have worn them for every run this past week!!!

  33. And, I am officially following you (even though I was regularly reading your blog anyway)… now it is just official 🙂

  34. hey katie… it’s your bday, and i love the pink/brown band, so i had to enter! my fav accessory to run with is…. Lucy (she makes me feel fast 😉 but seriously, it’s actually a very old, very thin, very comfy, very broken in lululemon long sleeve shirt that keeps me warm or cool when needed. i swear this shirt has a brain and knows exactly what i need it to do.

  35. I love my awesome wrist band from SPIbelt that holds my keys and change in case I need water/sustenance or I wuss out and need to cab back to my apartment.

  36. My favorite running accessory would probably be my iPod. I almost never run without it, though I usually listen to podcasts, not music. I really want to win!!!
